Smudge marks on the first page of a print job.
  Question
How do I eliminate a smudge mark on the upper left portion of the first page printed on the printer?
  Answer
If your output has a streak or smudge mark on the upper left portion of the first page printed, then the EP Magazine is beginning to wear out. EP magazines are rated for approximately 2 years or 10-15,000 pages.

This smudge mark indicates that your EP Magazine is beginning to wear out. You must replace the EP Magazine to resolve this problem.

Due to the age of these printers, GCC is no longer able to carry replacement consumables for the unit. The printer is based on the Okidata OL400/OL800 series (not the OL400e), so customers may be able to obtain replacement EP and toner cartridges through local office suppliers by referencing these Okidata models.
